For video marketers, especially when working with contractors or agencies or getting testimonial videos from customers, collecting video assets often involves tedious back-and-forth communication. As an example, when our team works with contractors, the collaborators upload files to Drive, send a link, we download the files, and then re-upload them into Wistia. (Woof.) With the Request Video feature, our goal was to help Wistia users simplify this process by inviting external collaborators to upload or record content directly into a folder. The best part? These collaborators don’t need full account access, keeping things secure and streamlined. By allowing non-user collaborators to upload directly into an account, we created a more intuitive, efficient pathway for teams to work together inside of Wistia.
