Marketers rely on different tools to collaborate with their stakeholders, including using tools such as Frame.io, Zoom, and reviewing videos face-to-face to gain feedback on marketing materials. More specifically, tools with commenting features, such as Google Docs or Slack provide a method of communicating asynchronously between stakeholders in a centralized place, but these tools can feel disjointed from the tools where actual video creation, editing, and storage takes place. We created a brand-new time-coded comments feature and Share for Review flow to consolidate this feedback loop within the actual location of video creation, editing, and publishing that exists in our Wistia app. We hoped that introducing this new job to be done in the Wistia platform could bring more media and users into accounts for a feedback use case.
